The year might be winding down, but here at AskARoofer and in the roofing world, we’re still going full steam! November 2025 has been a busy month full of interesting stories and articles from the AskARoofer editorial team. To make it easy to keep up with the highlights, we’ve gathered the top five articles from the month here!
In places five and four, we have two articles about roofing industry leaders forging ahead. At IKO Industries, they announced a new shingle color, Olde Style Weatherwood, for their Dynasty® and Nordic™ product lines. And over at Owens Corning, they celebrated the opening of a new, state-of-the-art facility in Russellville, Arkansas.
Coming in at number three is an article from our writer Jenny Yu. In it she covers a heartwarming news story of Justin Shaw, owner of Honest Roofing, and his team helping out their local Colorado veteran organization, Operation Revamp, with a reroof. On a similar note, our number two article is also about helping veterans. More specifically, QXO’s veteran program that gifts 13 veterans and gold star families' new roofs at no cost.
And in our number one spot – another story of kindness! This one focused on the Roofing Contractors Association of Washington (RCAW)’s announcement of their Basic Shelter Project awardee – Mary, a 74-year-old widow in Tacoma, Washington. This project happens annually and is one of the many ways they give back to their surrounding community.
