This month, we got to cover countless topics related to caring for your roof. In fact, our top article from the month was filled with expert tips and tricks on installing gutters in the Pacific Northwest region! But, in addition to sharing technical information and advice, we also get the chance to share incredible stories from the roofing industry.
Multiple stories of giving back caught the AskARoofer readers’ attention in April! In 23 roofs and counting: How DryHome Roofing uplifts their community by Emma Peterson, we got to explore a heartwarming story out of Virginia. The focus of the article was on DryHome Roofing and Siding's “Free Roof for the Holidays” program, which donated a roof to Pathway Homes in Fairfax County, Virginia last year. We also shared a story out of Michigan, with Hannah Ford’s article A roof over their heads. These deserving families have the Owens Corning Roof Deployment program, Schoenherr Roofing and Guns NHoses Roofing to thank for their donations and generosity!
We also got the chance to cover a story about Pope Francis, may he rest in peace, and the green initiatives he made in the Vatican City. It is just another example of how this incredible leader and figure not only dedicated his life to caring for people and community, but also the planet we live on together.
