Learn the benefits of a having a complete roofing system from one manufacturer.

Your roof does more than provide shelter—it is a system of functional parts that work together to provide safety to your family and your home. You need a roof designed to provide optimum performance, for years to come, and this is best achieved when its parts are designed to work together. The Integrity Roof System is a full suite of roofing components engineered to complement each other and create an active defense against the elements.

Here are the benefits of The Integrity Roof System® by CertainTeed.

1 - Strength in unity – Roof components from the same manufacturer work better as a unit because they are designed to function as a whole system.

2 - Upgrades and incentives – Complete roofing systems often offer stronger manufacturer warranties, loyalty programs, and purchasing incentives.

3 - Warranty considerations – It is easier to get a failing roof fixed under the manufacturer warranty when the components come from one source because - unlike with mixed systems from multiple manufacturers - there is no debate over who made the faulty component.

4 - Peace of mind – You can rest assured a complete roofing system will work in concert, particularly the parts of the roof you can’t see.

5 - Save time and money – A hodgepodge of component manufacturers may save a little money upfront, but may ultimately cost more to fix.

The Integrity Roof system works by first installing a waterproofing shingle underlayment over the areas of the roof that are the most susceptible to leaks from wind-driven rain and ice dams. This is followed by a water-resistant underlayment layer over the full roof deck that acts as a secondary barrier against leaks.

After underlayment, the first course of starter shingles is installed. Designed to work in tandem with the roof shingles above, starter shingles help prevent shingle “blow-off” and cover the most wind vulnerable areas of the roof along the perimeter. CertainTeed asphalt shingles come next, providing stylish options that exceed industry quality standards.

Then comes the ventilation components, a balanced combination of intake and exhaust vents that circulate fresh air through attic spaces to keep them dry, cooler in the hot months, and uniform in temperature in the winter – which helps prevent an ice melt freeze/thaw cycle on the rooftop which leads to ice dam formation.

Finally, hip and ridge shingles (also known as accessory shingles) are installed on the hips and ridges of the roof. These come in colors that match with CertainTeed shingle colors to provide a complete, finished look.

CertainTeed has all of the quality components you need in a roof to give you the peace of mind that your roof is protecting your home. From the edges to the finished surface, CertainTeed products work together to create a roof system with true integrity.
