At the end of each month, the AskARoofer™ (AAR) team looks back at the articles we published that month to see what our readers were most interested in! This month, our top-read list featured stories of giving back, information about crucial roofing accessories and a profile on Irish roofer William Cahill!
Our stories of giving back came from all over the country. In one article, AAR Writer Jenny Yu highlighted a roof and home repair that was gifted to a homeowner in the Philadelphia area. In another article, Senior Content Producer Emma Peterson took us from Texas to Wisconsin to Ohio and Minnesota showcasing stories of U.S. veterans being chosen for free reroof projects thanks to the generosity of roofing companies in their communities.
The article about the importance of roofing accessories comes from our friends at Rocky Mountain Snow Guards! The article dives into the rise of solar panels in residential applications (by 2030, it’s projected that 11% of American homes will have solar) and how solar panels must be paired with the proper roofing accessories, like snow guards, in order to keep everything safe and secure.
And last but not least, our profile of William Cahill, which was also written by Jenny Yu, highlights William’s expertise in thatched roofing. William, who established his skills through a 5-year thatched roof apprenticeship, has worked around the world on a variety of prestigious projects, such as the Jamestown Church in the historic Jamestown Settlement in Virginia.
