Polyglass has developed POLYSLOPE™, a reinforced cementitious compound application designed to create auxiliary slope. This water-repellent compound is designed to divert standing water and create positive drainage on roofs with low spots. Plus, the product can be used on a variety of substrates such as modified bitumen, built up roofs, concrete roofs, plywood and single-ply roof systems.
It is easy to apply, simply mix 1.2 to 1.3 gallons of water in a clean bucket and slowly add the 50-pound pail of POLYSLOPE over approximately three minutes using a low-speed mixer and paddle for a lump-free consistency. The product is ready to use after adding water and mixing.
Using appointed trial or screed board evenly spread material onto the repair section of the roof. Allow POLYSLOPE to dry for 48 hours prior to applying coating over the surface or allowing foot traffic. If the surface of the repair is not going to be coated, apply Polyglass granules over the surface area immediately after POLYSLOPE application.
“We are proud to bring this product to market to quickly resolve roof challenges,” said Ariel Lender, director of product management and codes and compliance. “Our mission is to deliver quality and innovative solutions to the roofing industry that are sustainable and help prolong the life of the roof.”
