Z-BAR
Z-Bar is a term to describe a termination bar where step shingles are tuck under and make a water-tite counter flashing at a wall to roof area. This is used so siding or as in this picture stucco can be separate from the roofing system. This is ideal when a re-roof is done because there is no need to disturb the exiting wall covering to change the step flashings.
