Step Flashing
From my collection of old drawings and photos I wanted to share this design from the "old school" way of doing things. If it has worked for hundreds of years why change it? This shows step flashing laced with slate at the wall. Then a counter flashing is embedded in the block wall covering the step flashing. This is a must on any shingle type applications.
