Double Felt
On lower sloped roofs under 4 and 12 pitch it is required to use two layers of underlayment when the roof cover is a shingle applixation. This shake roof 3 1/2 pitch porch is being prepared with a 15 lb 36 inch layer of felt and then a 30 lb shake liner is applied on top to acquire the "double felt".
